Back To The Beginning

What's up guys! I got one week left, so I'm gonna keep this one short again, but I promise that next week I'll be better.  This week, there were a couple of really cool things that happened that I want to share with you guys. - On Sunday, I got to visit my first area on my mission. It had been nearly two years since I've seen the members and people of Cabedelo, but they all seemed to surprisingly remember me! I visited the first person that I helped baptize on my mission, José. Has soon as José saw me, he ran to me and gave me a big hug! It was such a powerful moment! - At church, I was sitting next to our friend Walkiria. She has been in her church for about 28 years, and we've been teaching her for about three weeks now. We've been talking to her a ton about baptism, and she has been iffy on the idea. Well during one of the talks at church, she turns over to me and tells me that she wants to be baptized next week! What a miracle! Please pray for her. - We had ...

I Love Miracles

I'm gonna keep this one short, but we saw a cool miracle this week!  We marked Samuel for baptism about a month ago for this past Saturday. Since then, he has been traveling, and we were only able to teach him once. Well on Saturday we kinda just lost hope and honestly just forgot about the baptism. We were having a pretty rough day and praying for a miracle when we get a text from Samuel's sister telling us to fill up the font, because he's back! We quickly ran over to his house, taught the remaining lessons, and did the interview. He was baptized yesterday, and it was a huge testimony building experience for me! I've only got two weeks left, and it's about to be a grind! I'm super hyped! Please pray for Nicolle, Carlinhos, Carmelita, Graça, Junior, Walkiria and Deborah! I love you guys! Elder Ware

Church Trade

Quick Update: It's been raining like crazy here in Brasil, and it's been making the work crazy and impossible at the same time.  We cut about everyone in our teaching group in a last-ditch effort to find new people to teach and baptize before I go home.  We visited and watched an evangelical church this week. One of its members invited us to participate, so we decided to see what's up. It was like way different than anything I have seen, but it was still a cool experience. We brought her to church on Sunday, and she loved it! She and another lady that we brought both bore testimonies in front of everyone. Three more weeks until I go home. Love you guys, and I hope you all have the best week! Elder Ware

Beach Day

Image
I'm exhausted. Today we had a mission beach p-day which was insane. Played spikeball and volleyball for three hours non-stop. We then ran two hours of soccer in an indoor soccer field which was a blast! We had the baptisms of Bruno and his mom Simone this week! They are super elect, and since the first contact with them, they showed a great desire to follow Christ and be baptized. Now Bruno is asking to do visits with us and prepare to be a missionary himself! We worked super hard to find new people this week to no avail. This week we need more faith I guess.  I did a mini two hour exchange with Elder Bradford on Monday, and it totally brought us back to the good old days!  Please pray for Nicolly, Samuel, Graça and Carlinhos! I love you guys! Reach out if you wanna hear more about what's happening here. Have a great week! Elder Ware
