What is up everyone! This week we saw so many tender mercies and had some pretty so experiences that I want to share with you guys. My joy is so full right now on behalf of this missionary work, and I know that there is no other place that I would rather be. Let's get into some highlights.  - After 6 months of being in this area, we finally got a Ward Mission Leader, and know the work is about to start moving here! Too bad I'm leaving next week.  - Four of the youth members that I've been helping out for the last six months decided to all put their mission papers in together! You don't even know how happy this makes me! One of them was Micael, who was grown so much in these past four months being baptized.  - Speaking of Micael, he got his patriarical blessing yesterday, and I got to participate! This was such a special experience for him and for all of us. I know that this blessing was exactly what Micael needed to hear right now in his life.  - We had our second of...

My Plan

Image
(Sorry totally forgot to hit the send button on this one last week) (sent 4/29) What is up everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week! This was the week. The week that I've been dreading for so long. "My Plan" was released. As each week passes and each email is written, I'm slowly having to face the unevitable truth that this whole "mission" thing is coming to an end. It honestly just makes me sad to think about, but I'm super excited to just give all I can possible give till the end. Let's get it done.  I've honestly been looking up to good ole King Benjamin to help me with this. This dude was a beast and a fantastic leader. In Words of Mormon 1: 17-18, it shows how this king spoke with "power and with authority; and did use much sharpness." And he did this "by laboring with all the might of his body and the faculty of his whole soul." This is what I'm really striving to in an attempt to "establish peace in [this]...

Sick Week = Miracles

Image
Good morning everyone, and hope you all had a great week. Well yeah so this week was literally a roller coaster full of ups and downs and had some of those loopty-loops that make you sick. Yeah I'm still sick.  So it's been about 11 days now sick, and I'm finally starting to get back most of my strength in my arms and in my legs. I went to the hospital twice and got a bunch of bloodwork done, but until now, my blood is pretty normal. I'm almost positive that I had COVID, and it's like the only boodtest result that hasn't come back yet (6 days late). And now everyone else is getting sick around me. But it's cool, because we still got to work hard this week and see miracles.  One of the miracles that we saw this week was Severino. We found Severino about a week and a half ago doing a normal street contact. We've been slowing teaching him ever since. Well on Thursday, Elder Morgan and I were walking home after a pretty unsuccessful day, and we both received...

Covenants Are Great!

What is up everyone! I hope you all had such a fantastic week! Being sick as a missionary is the absolute worst, so I'm going to keep this one real short and take a nap. My comp is a genious and already knows everything that he's doing. I kinda just sit behind him playing with my thumbs, learning guitar, and coding up some new pages for the mission stat spreadsheet. I really don't see myself staying in the office for that much longer. We had the baptism of Leticia on Saturday!! I talked a little bit about Leticia last week, but it's safe to say that she was truly a miracle and used the Atonement of Jesus Christ to change her life for the better! I'm so grateful for the priveledge that I had to play a small part in her baptism! General Conference was yesterday, and it was so so good! I loved the focus on temples, covenants, and strengthening our relationships with Christ! This stuff is super important! Please pray to God and ask Him what He wants you to do. I promise...

Getting On The Road Soon (Happy Easter)

Image
What is up everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week and a happy Easter! I literally love this holiday, and as a missionary, it's even better! It literally emcompasses everything that we teach as missionaries: the Good News. Quick thought Elder Holland talks about this "good news". He says, "The word gospel as we use it in English comes down to us through early scriptural language which meant literally “good news” or sometimes “glad tidings.” The “good news” was that death and hell could be escaped, that mistakes and sins could be overcome, that there was hope, that there was help, that the insoluble was solved, that the enemy had been conquered. The good news was that everyone’s tomb could one day be empty, that everyone’s soul could again be pure, that every child of God could again return to the Father who gave them life." When Jesus Christ broke the chains of death, raised himself from the dead, and was ressurected, he made this good news possible and pr...
