It's Happening For Real Now || I'm In The Field!!

What's up everyone!! So much has happened this week and I have so little time to send this email but I'll include some highlights to keep y'all updated. Also I'm typing this on a samsung phone with a Portuguese keyboard so if there are any errors it's not my fault.

On Tuesday, I flew from the training center in São Paulo to my Mission (which we call the "field") in João Pessoa. It was super sad to say goodbye to all of my friends that I made along the way, but I already made a Facebook post about them so I don't have to talk about that here.

When we arrived here, we were immediately met by our mission president, who is in charge for the safety and obedience of all of the missionaries in João Pessoa. He is super nice but he's also a judge so he's a little more strict but it's all good.

I then met my companion that I'm going to be with for 3 months. That's literally until Christmas, so crazy!! He will be my trainer until then. His name is Elder Sanchez and he's already been the best trainer. He loves to serve, work hard, and have fun. The best mix!

Yesterday we tried terere. This is a cold drink that they drink in Brazil. It tastes like mint and kinda gave me a pretty bad sore throat last night but I don't know anything else about it haha.

Everything is in complete Portuguese. My companion only knows Portuguese so it makes communicating very hard but we able to make it work. I am constantly confused all day every day.

My area with this companion is on the northern peninsula of João Pessoa. I don't have a picture so look it up please. We can see the beach on both sides from our apartment but if you touch the sand as a missionary, you get sent home.

I don't have any more time to give more descriptions or a spiritual thought because my free time got cut in half today but next week I'll come back better than ever! I love all of you! Have a great week!

Here are some pictures. Hopefully they can explain themselves.
