Elder Ware X Elder Bradford
What's up everyone, how y'all had a good week! Here in Brazil we experienced some big changes this week! First off, had to say good bye to the promised land after only six weeks there. It was honestly super sad, but I guess my work there was done and I'm on to the next chapter of my mission. And this chapter is about to be a fun one! Since day one on the mission, Elder Bradford and I have been begging the Mission President to put us together. (He's from Texas, we were in the same room in the MTC, and he's an insane worker). Well, the time has come, and by a miracle, God has trusted us to be companions.
Yeah so this transfer is about to be way different! Let's talk about it...
big changes
Okay so let's talk about some of the big changes:
- Went from using a blanket at night to absolutely sweating my pants off.
- Went from a ward with 50 members to a ward with nearly 80.
- Went from teaching four families and having four baptisms next Saturday to absolutely no one (will change soon).
- Unfortunately, I picked up a little more responsibility as a missionary.
health update
So yeah, health continues to be a problem here on the mission. The toe is still super swollen, but it hasn't hurt in a couple weeks so just keep praying for that please. On Friday, we were in the middle of making a contact and my stomach starting hurting really bad. I then started dry heaving on the street and later that night, I threw up a bunch of times. I still don't know what the problem is lol. I have officially accepted the fact that I'm probably going to die by 40 years old.
other cool things that happened
- last p-day played some beach volleyball and beach tennis. I padded up the toe extra well, putting on gauze, a band-aid, a plastic bag, two socks, and a shoe. It was a blast!
- We had interviews with President Boone, and he continues to amaze me as a leader and servant of God.
- This area is aparently very dangerous and we always hear gun shots. Lowkey fells like a gang war is about to break out.
- We working in a trio on Thursday with Elder Raynard (another american that arrived with us) and it was super funny! He also lost his voice and didn't say a word, so it kinda just felt like he was one of those new americans that didn't know how to speak.
This transfer is about to be so fun and full of so many miracles! I am so happy to be a missionary and I love you and miss you all!
