This Is Gonna Be A Fun Transfer

What is up everyone? This has been a miracle-packed, testimony-building, and crazy-fun week! Prayers and fasts have been answered like I've never seen before. We still had our health struggles along the way and I got to take my comp on his first hospital trip here in Brazil, but God always provides a way!

It's been a few weeks since I've gotten a little spritual on here, so let's start off with a spiritual thought...

This week, I've been studying a ton about the significance of the Book of Mormon. Like why do we even need it, and what role does it play in our conversion to Christ?

Well first off, it acts as a another witness of Christ. It "acts as a confirming, clarifying, unifying witness of the doctrines taught in the Bible so that there is only “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” If the Bible only had one translation, there would only be one church. But there are thousands of translations, meaning there needs to another witness to specify the first.

And second off, the Book of Mormon includes the greatest witness of all. The profound witness it bears in reality to the risen Christ. Christ not only suffered and died for us. But he completed His Atonement, rising on the third day, and showing us that He still lives!

This week I've seen many examples and miracles that showed me that truly, Christ still lives. He still lives, loves us, and plays a crucial role in our lives! I know this to be true and I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and its witness and testimony of the true and living Christ.

Okay, so let's start off talking about one of the great miracles that God placed in our path. We decided to hold a zone fast for all of our areas on Thursday and Friday. I have seen many miracles come from fasting and I was hopeful that we would see more in our area. Only problem: we spent nearly the whole day Thursday in the hospital and we were feeling a bit down on ourselves. But we decided to go out at night and make some visits. On the way, the very first person that we stopped and talk to, was truly an elect of the Lord. She started crying, saying that she's been going through a lot and that we have been an answer to her prayers. She has been reading the Bible every night, but some sort of "white space" has been covering her mind, causing her to forget everything she reads. We showed her the Book of Mormon, and promissed her that if she reads, this "white space" with go away and she will be able to remember everthing that she reads. She then crying again, telling us of a dream that she had where she saw a large, white, glowing figure (that she interpreted as an angel) that gave her a glowing gift (that she now interpreted to be the Book of Mormon). That night she read, was filled with so much peace, remembered everything, posted in on her Whatsapp story lol, and came to church with us on Sunday! She was truly a miracle and an answer to our fast and prayers.

Bianca
Bianca is a woman who has been progressing for awhile now, read up to Helaman in the Book of Mormon, but hasn't come to church in four weeks, because something big always happens on Sunday. (for example, her grandma died last Sunday). But this week, we decided to invite her to fast with us. She was super excited, and proceeded to fast and prayer that she could come to church with us this Sunday. Well, on Saturday, when everything was just about set for her to come to church, her neice got sick and would have to go to the hospital sunday morning. We kept our heads up, and were inspired to say a prayer with her, asking God to heal Bianca's neice. After a bit of hesitation, with an insane amount of faith, Bianca said the prayer, and confidently said, I'm coming to church tomorrow! The spirit was literally tangible. The next day we arrived at church, and she was already there! She was super happy, telling us that her neice was completely better when she woke up! We thanked God for performed this miracle and marked Bianca's baptism for Wednesday!

other cool things and tender mercies:

- We gave the first vision to one of our investigators who proceeds to tell us that she had already seen this vision in a dream! She also came with us to church! God is good!

- Had an exchange with the assistants this week and my stomach was absolutely killing me! We worked insanely hard and found little results. That's just the work sometimes.

- During our trip to the hospital, the injected both of us with this medicine that made us temporarily blind for like 20 minutes. Kinda hilarious.

- We held an activity at the church, gave a really inspired message on the Holy Ghost, and built an obstacle course out of chairs, ductape, and paracord.

- Some older lady in the ward made us some really good popcorn cake!

That's it for this week! I love you all and hope you all have the best week ever!
