English Class Pt2

I'll start this email off by talking about your good friend Dilene. Dilene is 79 years old and full of faith. She works all day and every day (besides Sunday) to provide for her and her grown-up son (who's has plenty of his own problems). Since the first time that we met her, she has been nothing else but a light to everyone. Dilene walks 30 minutes to church every week by herself, and has invited all of her friends to visit with her. Well this Saturday was her baptism, and it was a super happy day for everyone! It was also a super unique baptism. Due to her health problems, she can't excert any abdominal force, and we needed three elders and a chair to baptize her. It was definitely a baptism that I'll never forget!

Health Update: I'm still rocking braces on one of my toenails, but it's finally healing properly. I used shoes twice this week and only regret it a little bit. Since the new year started, I've been off soda, and I've actually felt so much better in like every way!

This week I was also able to strengthen my testimony of the priesthood, and see it's power bless the lives of our friends here!

The office elder experience continues, and it's lowkey starting to get super boring. I feel like I'm doing the exactly same thing every single day (which I literally am). But on Thursday, I was praying that God could give me some new things to do to keep things interesting. And well, he definitely listens to our prayers, because on Friday, I has a missionary lose her card, a house lose energy, an hour and a half training to listen to, 23 reinbursments to do, and a bunch of angry home-owners calling me. This doesn't really seem like the "missionary life".

A member brought his flute to church yesterday, and we playing in with the piano from the congregation. I don't know if he had permission on not to do this, but it was like the best thing ever! I think that every church meeting should have a designated flute player.

I brought my english class to the new ward, and the members are more excited than ever to learn english! Our first class was on Saturday, and it went super well! It makes me so happy to see the youth trying their best to learn english. Reminds me of when I arrived here in Brazil.

So that's a wrap with this week! I love this work, and I love all of you guys! Have the best week!
