Raining Miracles (God Is So Great)
This week was super fire, and I'm beyond grateful for all of the miracles that God is providing for His children here in our area! This week had so many special moments, so many ups and downs, and a couple of hilarious moments.
To start things off, my health is slowly declining again. My calves have been bright red and burnt for about a week now, and they still hurt to the touch. My toe is now infected, and doing everything to get this thing to heal. I woke up one morning, and my face was super swollen. For about two days, my nose and eye were about double the size.
On Tuesday, we did super visited with our recently baptized friend, Micael. Fun fact about Micael is he is insanely smart and has read the Bible about a million times. We started teaching this man on the street about prophets and their impact today. When the man disagreed with one thing, Micael let loose on him and started "bible bashing" with him. If we didn't stop the contact, Micael would have obliterated this poor man. We then had to explain to Micael that he can't do that, and we just had a good laugh.
Also speaking of Micael, he read the entire Book of Mormon in six days, and had the coolest experience ever!! Since his baptism two months ago, he has been super ify about his testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Restoration. But after reading literally 110 chapters in one day, finishing the book, and praying to know if it's true, he got his response! He said that the Book of Mormon was exactly what he was missing in his life, and the book has brought so much peace to him!
Also going off of the recently baptized friend trend, our recent convert, Tatiana, that Elder Bradford and I baptized, received her patriarical blessing yesterday! And since the Patriarch was in our ward yesterday, Tatiana also came to our ward. And after a little bit of talking, they let me participate in her blessing and watch it! It was honestly one of the most special moments on my mission, and I am so happy that Tatiana continue to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ!
On Wednesday, we got to our house, and we realized that we had forgotten the keys in the office. Well, it was already 9:30pm and the office is about 25 minutes from our house. To top things off, it started pouring rain, and we spent about 40 minutes standing in the pouring rain, waiting for them to grab the keys.
On Thursday, I was able to give a mini presensation in the leadership councel and present the new statistical mission spreadsheet! I am so happy with how it turned out, and I'm excited to see how it can help the mission grow in the future! Also, on Thursday night, we played pie-to-the-face trivia. Whoever got the question wrong took a pie to the face. Let's just say that I took a bunch of pies to the face.
On Saturday, we had the baptisms of Jessica and Emily! Jessica is 25, and literally didn't have a single thing stopping her from being baptized. Emily is 12, and showed so much faith through adversity. Emily told us that one hour before the baptism, her best friend told her that this church is a big lie. She said, "when the trumpets sound and Christ returns, you know where you're going to go, right?" Emily responded, "Yes, I'm going to Heaven. Nothing is going to stop me from getting baptized!" What faith! Emily and Jessica are both great example to me, and I'm so grateful for the privledge that I had to be apart of this big moment form them!
That's about it for this week! I love this work so much! It brings me so much joy! I know God knows and love us, and is ready to rain miracles upon us! I love you all and hope you all have the best week!
