Domino Champion

Good morning everyone! This week was a blessing, and we saw the hand of God in many ways! And we're about to go play some soccer, so let's get right into it.

On Monday, we met Eduardo. Eduardo is a husband and dad of one kid. This kid has been in the hospital all week, and Eduardo is making hour long trips by foot, after a long day of work, to visit his son... everyday. He is a huge example to me! He was in a rush, so we made a quick contact and scheduled to meet back up with him the next day. Well the next day, on the way to his house, I decided to call him, just to give him a heads up before pulling up at his house. His wife answered and said that he was on the way to the hospital. So we scrapped that lesson, and went on to the next one. But guess who we met on the way, Eduardo! We were able to teach him about eternal families, and the spirit was so strong. We ended up finding his house, and now he and his family are progressing!

We had our ward domino tournament this week, and these Brazilians take it super seriously! It was pretty nervous playing against them, but you already know that my companion and I took home the chip and the free domino set.

Speaking of my companion, President switched up the companionships, and I'm now with Elder Vicente. Fun fact: This is my third time being companions with Elder Vicente, and I couldn't be happier!

We also got transfers coming up this week, and I'm praying that I can train a new Secretary next transfer and get out of this office. I'm some anxious just to get back out to full days on the road and work my tail off. But I did have interviews this week, and President was doubting in I would leave or not. This has lowkey been stressing me out.

We had the baptism of Sophia on Saturday! Sophia is the sister of a woman that we baptized a few weeks ago, and besides being super nervous, she showed nothing but determination for her baptism! The baptism was then followed by our biggest english class yet, where over 30 people showed up! I was stressing a lot, because the topic was a little complex, but it all work out in the end!

I love this work so much! I'm so grateful to be a missionary! Please look for God's hand in your life, because I know it's there. I love you all and I hope that you all have the best week!
