My Plan
(Sorry totally forgot to hit the send button on this one last week) (sent 4/29)
What is up everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic week! This was the week. The week that I've been dreading for so long. "My Plan" was released. As each week passes and each email is written, I'm slowly having to face the unevitable truth that this whole "mission" thing is coming to an end. It honestly just makes me sad to think about, but I'm super excited to just give all I can possible give till the end. Let's get it done.
I've honestly been looking up to good ole King Benjamin to help me with this. This dude was a beast and a fantastic leader. In Words of Mormon 1: 17-18, it shows how this king spoke with "power and with authority; and did use much sharpness." And he did this "by laboring with all the might of his body and the faculty of his whole soul." This is what I'm really striving to in an attempt to "establish peace in [this] land" of João Pessoa, Brasil."
This week we had the baptism of Lourdes! This was truly a miracle! We had visited her over four months ago, she went to church, hated it, lost to us in the church domino tournament, stopped smoking, started loving church, and got baptized! The Lord did not give up on Lourdes, and now she's happier than ever! It's also her birthday tonight, so we're gonna grab some pizza with her.
It's hits so different being on the road all day. Here in the area, we have one companionship that works in the area all day. Well one of them got sick on Friday, and I happily substituted him on the road, and it was a blast! I worked with my boy Elder Sorensen, and we just talked to and taught everyone! I learned so much from him, and he gave me the energy that I was needing.
We had a ward activity on Thursday, and we played a general conference Kahoot. We split everyone up into three even teams. But there were three teenage boys, that just come to the church to play soccer and didn't listen to a second of general conference, and they wanted to create their own little team. We let them play, and for some strange reason, they smoked everyone. It was hilarious! We then open the Kahoot topics up to everyone, and these Brazilians started getting super competitive.
Okay so I got about two more weeks left in this area, and I'm going to miss these people so much! Please pray for Vilma, Severino, and Samuel, so they can be baptized this week! I love you guys and hope you all have a great week!
