Pet Monkey
What is up everyone! This week we saw so many tender mercies and had some pretty so experiences that I want to share with you guys. My joy is so full right now on behalf of this missionary work, and I know that there is no other place that I would rather be. Let's get into some highlights.
- After 6 months of being in this area, we finally got a Ward Mission Leader, and know the work is about to start moving here! Too bad I'm leaving next week.
- Four of the youth members that I've been helping out for the last six months decided to all put their mission papers in together! You don't even know how happy this makes me! One of them was Micael, who was grown so much in these past four months being baptized.
- Speaking of Micael, he got his patriarical blessing yesterday, and I got to participate! This was such a special experience for him and for all of us. I know that this blessing was exactly what Micael needed to hear right now in his life.
- We had our second offical ward domino tournament, and this one had a much bigger showing than the first one, with a box of chocolate for the winners. You already know that our recent convert and I took home the chocolate in a stunning upset, and now I'm a two-time ward domino champion.
- In one of our lessons this week, this woman whips out a monkey out of nowhere, and it just crawls around her the whole lesson. It was lowkey kinda distracting, but it was like the cuttest thing ever. She even let us pet the monkey and shake it's hand. Monkeys are super cool!
- Vilma was baptized this week, and it was such a special moment! Vilma is the mother of another adult that was baptized two months ago, and we really saw the hand of the Lord in her progression. She showed tremendous faith and courage in this baptism, and I know that she is going to play a great part in this ward!
- Unfortunately, Severino's baptism fell though, because he's been sick recently. But please pray for him, so that he can start to feel better and be baptized this week!
- After almost two years of reading, I finally finished the Book of Mormon in Portuguese this morning! This book is so true and brings me so much purpose and joy!
I love you guys, and I hope that you all have a great week! Please pray for Severino, Bruna, Stephanny, Samuel, and Daniel! Thank you!!
