Sick Week = Miracles

Good morning everyone, and hope you all had a great week. Well yeah so this week was literally a roller coaster full of ups and downs and had some of those loopty-loops that make you sick. Yeah I'm still sick.

So it's been about 11 days now sick, and I'm finally starting to get back most of my strength in my arms and in my legs. I went to the hospital twice and got a bunch of bloodwork done, but until now, my blood is pretty normal. I'm almost positive that I had COVID, and it's like the only boodtest result that hasn't come back yet (6 days late). And now everyone else is getting sick around me. But it's cool, because we still got to work hard this week and see miracles.

One of the miracles that we saw this week was Severino. We found Severino about a week and a half ago doing a normal street contact. We've been slowing teaching him ever since. Well on Thursday, Elder Morgan and I were walking home after a pretty unsuccessful day, and we both received the prompting that we needed to teach Severino, that very moment. We had a super spiritual lesson with him, and he got so happy when we invited him to be baptized! I know that God was looking after His child that night.

Another decline in the roller coaster this week was... my toes. But I have faith that this time my treatment will work, and I'm be back to shoes in no time. But I'll tell you one thing: you never get used to the pain of them taking out giant ingrown toenails without any numbing medication.

One of the biggest miracles that happened this week was the baptism of both Sara and Airton! This was truly a miracle! On Friday, we literally didn't have faith that either one of them would be baptized this week. Well they both took leaps of faith and put God over their fears. On Friday night, Sarah asked us out of nowhere if she could get baptized on Saturday! And Saturday morning, Airton told us that there was no way that he was ready for baptism. Well, after his interview, he felt the spirit testify to him that he needed to get baptized. There was so happy peace and happiness at their baptism!

Small Thought

I absolutely loved one of the scriptures that I read this week in Jacob 7: 5

5 And he had hope to shake me from the faith, notwithstanding the many revelations and the many things which I had seen concerning these things; for I truly had seen angels, and they had ministered unto me. And also, I had heard the voice of the Lord speaking unto me in very word, from time to time; wherefore, I could not be shaken.

In this scripture, Jacob was faced with adversary, an Anti-Christ that wanted to challenge his faith. But the first thing that Jacob did was remember. He remembered his many revelations. He remembers the angels, the Lord, and all of his experiences with God. He was rooted on his experiences with God, and his faith could not be shaken. We need to root ourselves on our spiritual experiences with God. And if we have not root yet, we must seek out spiritual experiences and the God of hand more in our lives!

I love you all and hope you all have the best week!
